Mortgage Magic launches Audit Trails to help brokers

Mortgage Magic has launched a Secure Case Audit Trail that gives brokers a full record of every interaction on a mortgage case.

The new feature puts all advice, documents and messages into a single, tamper-proof timeline, making it easier for firms to keep up with the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA’s) Consumer Duty rules on “evidence of value”.

Brokers have struggled to keep communications in one place, with messages spread across emails, sourcing systems and phone notes.

Mortgage Magic now treats the whole case as a single data stream.

The audit trail logs everything that happens and cannot be edited or deleted later.

Tanjir Sugar (pictured), CEO at Mortgage Magic™, said: “As audit and oversight expectations increase, we are giving brokers the infrastructure to stay ahead without the administrative weight.

“In the past, recreating a case file for a regulator meant digging through inbox folders and disparate systems.

“Our new Audit Trail creates a linear, undeniable proof of what happened and when.”

Sugar added: “It provides Principals and Compliance Officers with the confidence that if it isn’t in the Audit Trail, it didn’t happen and if it is there, it’s secure.”

The feature logs every action, including document uploads, advice letters and client logins, and keeps a single record for the regulator.

Client emails, portal messages, SMS logs and CRM notes are all tracked in order.

Network managers and compliance officers can review the whole advice journey step-by-step when checking files, reducing audit times.

The secure audit trail is now available to all Mortgage Magic™ subscribers and works with the platform’s ISO 42001 AI safety accreditation.
